Important Information - Introduction of MPIN
Dear Customer,
From 31 March 2026 onwards, OTPs delivered via SMS or e-mail will no
longer be used to authenticate transactions.
Transactions initiated through HBZapp will be authenticated using
MPIN through the HBZ Mobile Banking App.
Before the change takes effect, please confirm the following on your
device:
- The HBZ Mobile Banking App is up to date.
- Your account is registered in the app.
- Push notifications are enabled.
- MPIN has been set up.
For transactions started on HBZ Web, a push notification will be
sent to your registered device for authentication, so completing the
four steps above is required.
